I got into a conversation with Don Morgan the owner of Action Alarms this morning talking about crappie fishing and how good they are straight out of the lake. I really got hungry for some fresh crappie. I decided to end my day a little early and sneak over to the lake. Wink Got there about 2:30, launched in the wolf and never left it. 1st cast and a nice one about 12 inches came into the boat. Had a limit in an hour and culled for the next hour. Caught about 30 to 35. emoThumbsup This time of year you can find good numbers of crappie stacked up in groups. They group up after the spawn during this post spawn time frame. Usually relating to a drop, ledge, tree, dock or bluff. Once you find one there are usually a bunch. emoTongue I left at 5:00 with a nice limit of crappie between 11 and 13.5 inches. I caught most of them in deeper water but only a four to ten count with a 1/32 crappie head with a panfish assassin on it. I cleaned them and had 1/3 of them for a fish fry this evening for the wife and son. emoHungry Man, I pigged out! I am soooo full right now I feel I am going to pop. emoApplause

Looking forward to this weekend at the G. C-ya there, emoAngler Jmax
