In taylorsville, by the little radio stations (one was the OLD arrow 103.5 building, then a kids station. I have no clue what it is now), right off the Jordan river, there was a small pond that I think was built by the landowner for his horses. There were large boulders around parts of it. There were big carp in there that were really spooky.
I didn't live around there bit knew people who did. We would drop little bead head nymphs between the rocks and catch bluegills. Biggest one was maybe four inches. This also the first and only place I have seen a fathead minnow!
