When I was a kid, my buddies and I used to fish this small pond we dubbed the "bluegill pond". it actually was full of green sunfish not bluegills, mudcats, crappie, carp, and a few white bass and largemouths. With an overabundance of small sunfish, some of the white bass and sunfish reached huge sizes. We would also hunt ducks and doves there as well. Anyway, a few years later, when I was living in Eurpoe, I read in a US paper that the entire area was on a "superfund" list and was slated for cleanup. (ugh)
Fortunately, we mostly practiced C&R there.
