Unlikely fishing holes?

growing up where i did in idaho I would hike up the mountain and there would be a few beaver ponds in the run off creeks that held golden and brook trout, they weren't very big but we would have fun trying to catch them with our hats as they dove under the banks, unfortunatly you cannot easily access them any more as blm has gated/fenced the area off where it was easier to access now it is a several mile hike through some pretty rough terrain to get to them.
