Used to fish Spring Creek that runs thru the fields south and west of Payson. Never used fishin' poles, caught 'em with my hands by wading in the creek and feeling for the big ones up under the banks. Used to catch some whopper 'bows there. Didn't pay much attention to seasons or trespassing signs then (no apologies and no guilt). Wouldn't even think of trespassin' now and I take the season laws a little more seriously too. Trespassin' now in the same areas could get you shot. Different world 60 years ago. Better too.
