[cool][#0000ff]One of the 27 inch cats we caught last week had a whole 11" white bass in it. And I have seen 1# carp in a 12# cat. I also once saw a small whole chicken inside a cat that might have weighed about 10#. Stinko. They can eat big when they find big...and if they are hungry.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It is always possible that there is a state record cat swimming in Utah Lake. But it is a long shot that anybody will hook it and/or land it. The big ones get big by eating big...and by avoiding the wimpy stuff that most fishermen use.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]And, there is not a week goes by on this board without somebody crying about a big fish that broke their line. As long as Utah anglers keep buying cheap line, tying bad knots and using lousy reels with poor drags they will not land the truly big fish they hook. Fish don't break lines...fishermen do.[/#0000ff]
