It's Walleye time at SFCR!
#21
I have the magazine at work So I have to wait to see it. I did look on line for some study's. The only ones I found were from bass. They didn't look good for survival in this study. I understand that walleyes are not bass but I also don't believe that walleyes are inherently any more" hardy" than bass . With this info I do hope that the delayed morality is not as high as it is on bass. A 25% to 62% delayed mortality is a shame. Maybe most of the 500 pounds would have been kept by average Joe's. Those fish would have been used by the average Joe's. The delayed mortality due to the tournament would have not been used. Therefore the fish that die due to delayed morality are wasted. Now I am going to have to see if I can find some walleye study's. This is kind of depressing. Ron
