Man, the wash is brimmed with happy hungry bass. Here's some of the hoglets I yielded from a evenings work! I highly recommend scoping the place out

And this poor guy! I was tossing jigs into the current to float under this tree that bent over the water - When I did I kept hearing a lot of thrashing and thought it was some active carp - well the sound stayed steady for a while, so I took a peak from a different angle and saw this guy struggling in the branches. I swore I wouldn't get in the dirty-bandaid-drano-piss-hobo-gunther-water, BUT! I had to. When I got to him he had a popper (a nice one, kept it) pinning his beak shut, and hooking his head wing to his foot. I pulled him out, free'd him and he flew across the water to safety. Success! Looked like he'd been there a while, the hooks were rusty....but he's good now.
