Possible Sucker Fish on the Middle Provo? Any thoughts?
#28
There are numerous scenarios that could explain a June sucker being up there....first, there are fish in just about every water that were not native to that water.... Utah lake is a prime example... In the old days, people would catch a bucket of "minnows" on one water and use them as bait on another. Some escaped or they simply dumped them before leaving. No doubt there are some who still to this day do that (white bass in deer creek). Also, deer creek dam hasn't always been there... As far as I know the Provo river used to run unimpeded from Mt Watson to Utah lake... So I wouldn't be shocked to know they got up there.
