99% of the fish that are oversized are "genetic mutants." The inability to breed keeps them putting in the groceries waiting for the response that doesn't happen due to a malfunction in their reproductive system. This happens naturally as well as in triploid fish. Nature creates a quite a few triploids on it's own. This being said, 90% of all record fish are triploids whether is be from natural causes or man made.
