Does anyone know where to get real salmon eggs still in spawn sacks?
#5
[cool]I kinda suspect the carp are already spawned out for this year. But, in the springtime, there are a lot of fish that have roe skeins that make good bait. Obviously, the individual eggs on most of them are far too small, but a clump of the ovaries with eggs attached is readily accepted by a lot of species.

I'm not sure how the current Utah proclamation reads, but I was once told that some fisheries officers interpreted using roe skeins from trout and other game fish to be in violation of the "NO GAMEFISH PARTS" regs. I heard from a "reliable source" that a kid got busted at Willard for soaking crappie roe for catfish. He shoulda been using corn. (Oh, we already had that discussion).
