Hyrum trout?
#3
Ya know - I haven't seen any Hyrum reports all summer. Been wondering if that "means" something.

I know as the water cools, and the ski-squad chills out - the trout spend more time on the surface. Last fall - think it was more like October - we did great in the late afternoon/evening. Trolled around the southside, and up towards the inlet. Dragged flies - on a fly rod, bubble/fly with pistol petes, and various spoons - mostly on a side-planer. Didn't bother with the down riggers of pop gear.
The hot ticket seemed to be a buoyant orange spoon with spots. But we had hits on everything. They were pretty much footlong planter bows, but frisky. Kept us busy.

Be curious to know if anyone got any reports. Look forward to hitting the hard-deck up there again this year. My son had a real good time with that, and has mentioned it several times.
