I like the mental visuals initiated by [#0000ff]pulchritude[/#0000ff] a wee bit more than the redneck pickup moon - start picturing hairy werewolves - and yeah:

With your bead-work, do you do anything to "fix" them in place, or are they just-a hanging? I've tried various. Free sliding to a swivel/snap, or pinch a small split shot on top, even tried looping the line through the top bead - enough wiggle to let them rattle still, but not slide around TOO much.
So your leader is heaving than your main-line? I gather cats aren't too line shy. How heavy do you go on the leader? I'm trying some of that Excalibur Silver - and like it so far. Casts well, and haven't broken off a single perch! [blush] Need to get a refresh on that know you showed Lava and me. I think it may have slipped from the grey-matter. Did you have a diagram? Or should I just watch you do it behind your back. []
Couple examples of some of my bead/bead-spinner rigs. Still experimenting with colors/combos. One thing I like to do it top it off with a red (blood) or a dark (eye) bead, for visual grabitude.
As far as 'perch' strips - last round of fillets I saved off the rib cages, and stripped them down, but left the bones in. Figured they'd hold on a hook better, and fish eat meat with bones, no? Any thoughts on using such "leftovers"? Figure much of a kittie's diet is pokey anyway, on? Crawdads, minnows, carnage of carcasses? I know you've filleted your carp down to nice meaty strips, but I wonder about something smaller like perch bits?
Thanks for any feedback, and the thesaurus lessons! [laugh]
Oh yeah - as far as smoking Cats or Trout?
Short of a "real" smoker - you can do foil-pouches on a regular grill - long as you can setup for 'indirect heat'.
Or - just find a copy of Cheech and Chongs "Up In Smoke" album (yeah - the Vinyl kind). They used to include the size of paper you'd need to "roll your own".
