Yup we went through 10 dozen night crawlers in 2 half days of fishing. They do sell quite a varity of sturgeon bait - eel, smelt, herring, and shad. All with varing results depending on the time on year.

You will have to put in some time to see what works best for the area you are fishing in - if fact wiperhunter2 heard that some folks were using sucker meat with the head attached below the dam - this was a new one on me.
