The bite is very similar to Steelies I agree...yet do not set your hook immediately like with Steelies!..you'll rip the lure out of their mouth (Eye's like to hold it with their mouth open for a second then they chomp down). Instead I drop the tip of my rod about 4 inches when I feel a strike ..watch my line and if it tightens then set the hook SOFT not like a bass hook set.
