I'm almost embarrassed to say they came after ME the way they did - when I know folks like you work HARD to track them down.
I was just lucky - is all I can say. Must say though - it's a testament to that jig - if a musky'll pass up a stringer of REAL splashing trapped perch for a fake. Wish I hadn't lost that one. Go find it bud - it's all yours!
Maybe next time I'll get some company - so I can get one of them "trophy" photos like you have - so many times over! For me - it was a 'good enuf' catch - see them, control them, set them free. Works.
I do likes my perch. Would love to track down them foot-longs like they find at Starvation, but don't think - as you say - the Musky let that happen. They do dominate that lake pretty good. Seems like PV, Hyrum - are all in a "mid-size" mode for perch. But from what I hear - they go through cycles. Hopefully we're on an upswing!
Harder to find the Crappie up there for sure.
It's a good time for anglers at that puddle. I DO like FALL there - not so much a fan of summer. Damned powersquad!
