Yup was returning from the Columbia salmon trip which was a bust - should've when to the ocean- hottest weather of the whole summer pretty much shut the chinook bite down... but did make a GREAT walleye Columbia find....
Also yup on the usual spot sturgeon fishing -- I did find a better launch place that cut 40 mins off the launch to fishing hole process -- man I hate the "road".
Will probably do one more trip in late October after the elk hunt.
One good thing about the trip was all we caught were quality fish - no shakers (under 3')....
I hate setting the date on the camera -- so this was Jan 1 2007 -- it was 94 degree that day in Idaho....
Too bad about the salmon part of your trip but it is always good to find a new walleye fishing spots. I'd like to hear about this Great walleye find, if you would like to share a report about it[]. Yea, "the road" is a beast for sure. On my last trip up there we found a better launch, right by the main road, it is up river from "the spot", could be the same launch because I'm sure we saved at least 40 min.
LOL, where else could you go and call a 3 foot fish a shaker, good term though for those smaller fish.
