Kochanut,
55 lbs. thrust it is (I thinks!) Can you give me an idea of how long you can run with a full charge, AND which batter you would suggest? (For your wife's 40 pounder too?)
The main reason I went with the Renegade is it's max weight capacity. I weigh approx 320 lbs. I generally carry about 10 lbs of gear and food, and that puts me over the max capacity of my Bighorn (325), the first and only tube I've ever piloted. I would like to be able to carry both fly rods and spinning taclke, more water, my 70 lb black lab, as well as a motor and batter(y/ies?). Top all that with a major priority - the correct buying decision . . .
Mojorizing,
Is there any REAL advantage to the cargo deck in the 3rd photo? Great photos - thanks. That strap-on motor mounting board looks like the ticket.
Flygoddess,
I always thought in terms of 'shorter is better' (ONLY in trolling motors!) When we floated the Shenandoah in August, the water level was so shallow that my son's Endura 30 kept hitting botton. (And my legs - I picked-up a bad case of cellulitus - put me in Walter Reed for 2 weeks!) This is part of the reason I want the Renegade - to float higher should I so choose.
Thanks again for all of your sage advice. Later!
