Pat and I got out for a few hours of fishing and playing with his new Hummingbird side/bottom scanner. I installed my Hotmaps chip in it and Pat loves it. So, it is staying in that unit.

We caught 38 crappie with most of them being juveniles and not all that many keeper sized crappie. It was fun catching the fish, although it was like pulling teeth for a while. Finally got into a feeding frenzy, but the fish were mostly small ones. The fish were about 11 feet deep or so. They liked chartreuse colors today. I fished with a minnow mind'r most of the time in the 1/16 oz jighead size and Pat fished a lot with a Bass Pro Shops imitation Bobby Garland 2" shad in chartreuse color.

It wasn't too windy early, picked up a bit for a while, then lay completely down about the time that we quit. It is a beautiful day out there today. I'll bet that Maddog kills the white bass this PM. emoBigSmile emoGeezer

Pat and I have a trip to Tims Ford planned for Wednesday. Last week's trip got canceled. Hopefully, the wind won't be gale force over there. emoBigSmile
