As a kid I remember camping with the whole family right on the beach having a fire and fishing not 10 feet from our camp. My dad made sure garbage went in the garbage and not in the fire and potty breaks were off the beach.
But over the years Ive seen too many people throw all kinds of junk in there fires expecting it will all burn then leaving a smoldering heap of garbage. People using the beach as there toilet and leaving TP right on the beach
When high tide sets in all that garbage ends up in the water.
I agree with fish killer it was a small majority of people who ruined it all for everyone else.
