Gov't wash 11/11/11

hit the wash about 10am started throwing a super spook jr around and wham biggest topwater explosion I have ever seen or had. ziiiiiiiiing goes the drag on my medium action reel. nice fight only to get tangled in the newly submerged brush I did manage to get the fish out and was able to see it for a whole 3 seconds before the fish shook off. I would say it had to be 6-7+lbs striper... I seen 3 huge boils right off shore. no other action for me my son got 3 carp 5.3, 6.7, 8.9lb'rs in that order in 3 casts, and lost one too. my daughter and I took the skunk[pirate]. off the water at 3:30 beautiful day on the water lots of fishermen.
