Gator, Chickamauga, Crappie, 1/16/12, Doug
#1
My buddy Doug wanted some crappie to eat (he usually is a bassman) so we went for some today. Put in at HBSP about 8:30 am and fished until 5:00 pm. He's just learning to shoot docks. We tried docks EVERYWHERE and almost no fish to be found on any of them, what few we did catch seemed to be near some brush hanging on or near the bank in about 6 - 8 feet of water. We used panfish assassins, BG's, and Blakemore Roadrunners in various colors to catch the few we did manage to catch. Total fish was 15 with 9 keepers. Oh yeah I had about a 4# lm bass break me off at the boat because I was too lazy to retie my BG shad that was on there from a month ago. emoBang emoBang emoBang Live & Learn I guess. Sorry no pics, did I mention it was windy & cold and WTC was muddy. Water temp 44 all day long. Still it was a great day to be on the water. emoBigSmile
