[cool]My personal prediction is that your holders are not going to hold up under the stress and stretching of heavy use. The walls of the material are not rigid enough...unless you put some kind of reinforcing wrap (white duct tape) around them to keep them from overflexing. I am also proposing that you should make the holders longer...to reach up near the handles, for extra stability. I envision a boat wake making your craft "rock and roll"...and one of the rods popping out and sinking. Disaster. I hope I am wrong.
While that is an innovative design, I will suggest that you think more along the lines of the rigid tube (PVC or aluminum) concept.
Is there a pond or pool somewhere that you can give them a "field test" before taking them out fishing? I have learned the hard way that theory and reality do not always agree. In fact, I have come close to losing a couple of rods with some of my experiments too. Don't want to have to read about that on this board.
