The fish and game do not plant walleye in Alexander....just below at Onieda, there are two dams blocking them from reaching Alexander.
The Mud lake canals were made to maintain levels in Bear Lake, Mud Lake, and to provide irrigation to water holders downstream like the last chance canal company. There is a risk of Walleye or Tigers getting into Bear Lake. Bear Lake has the only strain of Bonneville cisco and whitefish in the world and they would be jepordized, as well as the Cutthroats and lake trout.
I do not feel any smarter by reading this whole Alexander carp post and I almost regret participating in it......[
