Any word on Pineview conditions? I'd expect it pretty well opened up by now too.
Ben - did you happen to get a water temp? Is the main courtesy dock in the water yet? Suppose the $5 launch fee is still in place?
There's lots of shore access and good parking along the west dike. But I'd suggest if you're interested in bass, bluegill - you might drive around the north end and work the shore towards the knoll. Water's probably a bit cold for them still, but the gills and bass will be moving into the shallows and dusting out beds in the rocky edges. Probably at least staging for pre-spawn.
If you're more interested in Trout - you might go around the south side. That's where the main inlet is. You can catch trout in the inlet itself, or there's a courtesy dock that extends a bit. You can also walk around the east side towards the knoll from there.
Here's a little map of Mantua you might find helpful if you haven't been there before. Small lake, easy to NOT get lost.
Spinners, plastics, worm under bobber, simple jigs. There's LM bass, bluegill, perch, rainbow trout, and even some cutthroats. Oh - and LOTS of weeds!
