Well I didn't think I was an "old timer" on here but maybe I am? Anyway, I'm 38 and remember Gean well! I grew up in Sugarhouse also and started taking fly tying lessons from Mickey @ Anglers Inn when I was 11. Saw Gean all the time and he was always really nice and a class act, I also still fish a 9' Snow fly rod to this day!!
Really nice obit, and it's so true how few of us can say our career and passion are the same thing! He was a very lucky man..
I have a friend in Eagle Mountain who I've been saying I'd take her and her kids fishing for their first time out on Utah Lake, and make white bass fish taco's afterward.
For Gean's memory I'll move it to the top of my priority list and get those kids (and their hot mom[]) out there..
