[cool][#0000ff]Ahh yes. There ARE freshwater CLAMS in almost all of our waters...including Willard. They live in the mud. Mussels typically attach to rocks...but not always. There are some big honkin' freshwater mussels in the east that they harvest and cut up the shells for use by the cultured pearl trade.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]When I lived in Sacramento the bait shops there all sold freshwater clams for catfish bait. They seldom got more than an inch or two across. But the stripers would also eat them.[/#0000ff]
