Yes they do have quite a bit of rocker but that factors into the river certifications. We have a 7 footer with almost no rocker and it was only certified class one. It has been down some pretty rough rivers and survived just fine but it was far from a comfortable ride. As for looks, some would say my truck ain't pretty, but it never lets me down[
