cut bait vs worms
#4
Said it before, I'll say it again - it's like Donkeys and Farfait! Everybody loves worms. One tip - snip a tip, open them up to the bleed scent. Seen a rigging that emulated crawdad claws the way the wrapped up the worm But always 'spoil' em. I don't hesitate to squirt some scent on a worm after it's been soaking it the hot tub for a while too. Often get a quick bit after a fresh squirt.

I haven't tried the stacked wacky rigging on worms yet. Still stuck with the mindset of threading and dangling.

But I also agree - the bigger baits to keep little mudcats at bay. A full shrimp is usually too much for them to mess with, plus shrimp are real scent friendly.

Next chance I get - I'm trying a WAD of full on carp guts. I've had mixed results on carp strips, but worms always produce. Though - I'm content with a 2lb cookie. A 10#+ would be way fun, a nice fresh cookie makes a good catch.

But wait - you're from the SOUTH! You should use beer-cap lures for catfish, yeah - THAT's the ticket! [:p]
