LOL! [laugh]
I would have recognized that photo as you at Utah Lake right away.
Oh well thats advertising for ya.
Here is one story. There was once this guy that opened up a fishing guide service back in the late seventies at Deer Creek Reservoir. He was very experienced at the lake(this was before walleye were found) and he felt confident that he could be a succesful fishing guide for the browns and rainbows.
But when he promoted his guide service(his advertisements were placed in the Daily Herald and Field And Stream magazine amongst others) he accidentally sent a photo of himself and his 65 year old wife wearing an immodest thong bikini and sitting on his lap holding a huge carp she had caught. As well as his labrador retriever doing number two on the boat deck. And his 2 grand kids all crying, and his youngest son wearing very long hair and a bandana holding a fifth of Jack Daniels whiskey. His sons wife was very obese with a bikini and his son was carrying her piggy back to the front of the boat. His sons wife was laughing very hard with popcorn falling out her mouth.
Not very clever advertising.
He had no idea he had sent the wrong photo cause he had bad vision and was not wearing his glasses. This went on for months at a time and he had very little money at the time.
He didn't even bother to check his own advertisement for months at a time. How stupid can you be?
As time went on he found out to his dismay he called the newspapers and magazines he placed his advertiements in and then sent them a proper photo, but by the time he did that he was down on his luck and had no money. He went out of business. He could not even afford gas he owed a loan that was in the tens of thousands he did not want the bank to repossess his house. Sad story indeed...
