Before the internet and fishing forums came along, how exactly did people find out where to fish, what bait/ lure/ fly to use, how deep to go, how fast to troll, etc. etc. etc.?
They called them books and magazines.
At one time I had over 2000 outdoor magazines and 3000 gun, hunting and fishing books. I got a lot of good starting points, but still had to be on the water and in the field to learn the fine details. And I've been hunting and fishing since the 1940's. I still learn something new almost every trip.
Yep I read lots of books and magazines as well.
Still like them as a matter of fact!
