The lower Columbia does have walleye. Washing state fisheries biologist did just what is being discussed right now in this forum. Along came a flood year and washed walleye out of the Pot Hole Lakes located on the Columbia River rim. Now besides squaw fish (pikeminnows) chomping down on salmon smolts, we now have walleye adding to the slaughter. One more reason why the salmon population of the Northwest is challenged.
