Totally agree with you Uintaman. Some guides think they own the river or lake. Sounds like the original poster had one of those kind of guides. What's tough is even though the body of water may be large, (like the Gorge & Green River) the areas that hold certain species and sizes of fish may be limited making the body of water seem much smaller than it actually is.

Way to go on the doubles. Glad the other boat did not have any negative impact on your fishing.
