Common courtesy not so common at the Gorge
#21
One of the things I've learned about fishing the Gorge over the years is NO PLACE IS SECRET & NOBODY OWNS THAT SO-CALLED SECRET PLACE !! Fisherman's etiquette is a nice thing but doesn't always happen when an angler is in the heat of the moment !! I thought it was respectful of you to apologize but don't forget nobody owns them spots not even the Guides that take their clients out on them !! Combat fishing happens for many reasons one being someone isn't catching fish & sees a single -double or triple 9xs outa 10 they will end up right next to you and you cant do damn about it but voice your opinion in retaliation or burn out on the spot giving up your cords . I don't get all heated on the subject till someone punches a hole within a rods length to mine or fires off a cast in my lap! You should know better than anyone about combat fishing and etiquette from your time spent @ Willard..Sometimes even people you know or thought was your friends will become irate if your encroach their honeyholes or a pile of fish mostly because their on a hot bite and don't want you involved..
