Headed out for a laid back evening with the girls, & maybe lick our wounds from CFF last nite. Dodged a few storms when we got out about 4. Headed up to Steve's Landing to eat about 5. Nice out on the deck. After eating went to a river ledge & Kim caught a nice 4# on a shakey. The fish was the skinniest bass I've seen on the Chick this year. Had a 6# head! caught another keeper there, then headed to another river ledge Kim misses one. About 3 min. later Jackie sets the hook on somethin nice! The fish cleared the water twice & took us around the boat twice before I could lip her! Jackie had her PB, a beautiful, thick-bodied 8#er that beat her previous best by 3#. I caught another nice 3.75# on the ledge & a 3.5# in grass on a worm before we came in. As usually happens, we kill em right before or right after the tourney! emoBang Our best 3 were over 15#, best 5 over 20. I need to stick to play-fishin! emoScratch
