I worked in Butte in the summer of 97, I would take a float tube to Georgetown Lake west of Anaconda,catch some huge brook trout.There is also a small creek west of Georgetown Lake I can't remember the name of that was killer hopper water.The Boulder river was also a good uncrowded river not too far.The Big Hole is too big to wade.Avoid the big name "Orvis catalogue model" type rivers and you'll do OK.Good luck and let us know how you did...Bob, Also try a pasty at Joe's Pasty Shop on Harrison, get the brown gravy!
