Guess I'd best jump into, or onto this one....
Gotta say I was glad the "challenge" was addressed privately and out of the public eye. I'll also say there were a few other "corrections" if you will - that were encountered - and I gotta say - I applaud and welcome the input from ya'll contestants, and double checking my squirrely numbers posting! Seriously! (check my math! hopefully I get partial credit! ha)
I can honestly say I was fully expecting UTC to be holding out on some quality entries. And from past history - before there WAS a Catfish Challenge - he was nailing and reporting some quality fat cats. As many of you other members, and stories I hear - non members with even BIGGER cats caught! (state records ain't pish!) They're out there!
I did put it out there - contest closed on Friday, but I said get your entries in before the weekend was up. So yah- it was a swoop. Wormsinker came back after his "challenge" and apologized for the "attack" and all was cool. Hell - I wear the same shoes when I fish all the time too, so . . . it's all good!
I guess I'm slated to handle the ice-fishing contest. All I can ask is the same cooperation and consideration we had with the cat contest. I had a great time running it, and owe some "closure". It was fun to track the entries, and see everyone getting into some quality cattin. Motivates it does!
One of the new rules will require that you set your camera's "clock" - so the date doesn't show 2008. But I don't care who ya're - ain't no 30" cat being caught in dry grass in February! Least not in Utah!
Peace bros and all.
