hooks rigs for ice fishing

Jan1 2013 you can use 3 hook per line i like to tie a jig on the end of my line and another hook up the line 12 to 14 inches to catch the cut's and if im fishing for rain bows its about 18 to 24 . im useing the jig like a drop shot but i still catch fish on it most of the time its the bigger bows that it the jig but i break off at the knot for the other hook alot with another hook in my line i fear i'll lose even more fish i have tried many different knots can any show me some way to do this right ( most of the time i break off its on the hook set)
