Ok, I have a couple of questions, If they have been answered in previous posts, I apologize, this is a long post. [:p] This is not necessarily for you, anyone who can answer factually is more then welcome.
First off, let me define myself a bit. I'm one of the lucky ones who has access to private property.
That being said, how does the every day fisherman who wants to do a bit of fishing and accesses a public access ladder. know when he is on private property if it isn't marked w/o going thru a lot of research that may not even easily available to him to know when he's on private property???
Then, if he is approached by someone who says that it is private property, but is some ******* just trying to protect his "private hole" how does he know.???
Now, don't get me wrong. I think you were totally within your rights and seems you went beyond being polite and reasonable. Still, if in another situation that you describe, how can to know the answer to my questions?
Sincerely, I have no ax to grind, just trying to answer some points that have bothered me for a time. I do fish public areas, so I'm not an elitist that is not in touch with the common guy problems. Not too many years ago, I'm an old guy, I was faced with this and still am on occasion. [frown] Sorry for making this longer then necessary.
