Weber Private Property - I'm the one that called the cops
#30
Fences are good for giving people an idea that the land is probably private. Also if there are grazing animals or signs of agricultural activity. Most places near rivers aren't void of these signs the fact is that some people, especially on here, think there should be a orange marker every 5 feet and a 12 foot impenetrable fence with razor wire and an armed guard so that they get that it is private. If there are signs of agricultural activity on the property or animals the landowners by law are not required to post it. I understand what you're saying about being lost but but if you've crossed 10 fences while you're out pretty good odds your trespassing. I hate when people knowingly trespass and then play stupid as if they had been teleported to that exact spot on the river and have know idea how they got there. In the woods with no signs or fences I could see it but on the rivers in this state especially in the more populated areas I don't buy the "I didn't know" excuse. " I didn't know" more often than not translates into "I didn't care enough to find out".
