Thanks for the tips - I think I was working the southern shore - just south of Gus point - and I really think had I been on the "other side" of the reeds... I did fish some rocks off the launch area, and it seemed reel fishy. . . . but darned shallow.
I may hit some of the local rivers - if they're "on" they're "on" right? We'lll see. It's the 'iffyness' of a big lake like Big Blue that keeps me in resistance. Maybe if they had a lake-cam!
So - I hear they are boney fish. Do you filet out the bones before smoking? I've heard of 'em being canned to deal with soft bones... ?
