I just recently bought my own first ice tent. Decided on the Eskimo Fatfish 949 and I absolutely LOVE it. I had a smaller one on a sled when I was younger with my dad and hated it. We also had one with a floor built into it, just a pain in the ass really. You either pre-drill your holes, clean them then move to the tent over them. Or drilll them inside the holes then shovel the ice out. You end up tracking all sorts of crap onto the floor anyways. I just prefer the open floor. Can drill wherever you want and set up whichever way you want. Can fit 4 comfortably, but 2 with all your gear inside set up in STYLE is amazing. Was the best investment into ice fishing I have done bar none. It really helps cut the cold even without a heater. It's pretty sweet. Just take in consideration how many people you typically bring with you, and maybe get just a size bigger than you think you might need. The extra space is worth it.
