Yuba has had Perch as far back as 1956, but not sure about any time before that..
I seen some old pictures of back then of my mother canning fish, and of the men who got them from Yuba in the Fall when the water at the dam was turned off..
Back in the 50's and even before that time any waters that the Rail Road went by got fish put in by the Fed's, that is where the term milk can planting came from + horse back..
