I have been doing this a little longer, and I see
small gas motors are used on pontoons all the time just like the SUP's. North Fork Outdoors kinda sparked that interest many years ago. I have been running a 5 for the past 5 years.
One needs to realize there is a need to beef up the motor mount. And NEVER drill into existing frames.
I have a 10 foot pontoon that weighs under 60 lbs I can run up to a 9 hp on, but again, you must beef up the motor mount.
This is easy to do when the motor mount is NOT connected to the frame and that can be done on any pontoon. Again I say smaller motors, like yours

I think the Outcast Pontoons sold at Sportsmans are not the same as the ones Outcast sells. I know they have many of their pontoons made in China as well.
