I am notorious for catching Mudpuppies, I have caught as many as 35 in one year. well that is ice season.
like mentioned above, fishing low to the bottom or using dead minnow is a good way to catch them, there is a season for them here in michigan, but other than to look at them I dont know what any one would want to do with them.
they are a lot of fun
