All those lakes are very large and fairly deep. Rivers come in and out of all them but the sauger are not in rivers. In fact the only river in MN that holds a concentration of sauger is the Mississippi from Pool 4 (Lake Pepin) south. Sauger could do well in UT but my main point was they are no easier and likely more difficult to catch than walleye so why bother? Like Therapist said let the experts do their job. We just need to learn how to catch what's available. I have had a lot of fun learning to catch Kokes on the Berry. Do I want Kokes in every body of water? Not really. If I want to fish for them I'll go to Strawberry. If I want perch I head to Starvy. Tigers Current creek or Scofield. And so. I just don't see the need to have everything a fisherman would like to catch in one body of water.
