Yeah it was a little tiring, haha. I really don't understand why the fish that have been biting my line there are so hard to hook. I'm going to assume they're just small ones I'm running into... Either that or they're extremely cautious after being caught and released so much.
As for the weather: At about the hwy 89 turnoff going up hwy 6 it started to get progressively less awesome. It was barely snowing, but really blowing. Obviously this created drifts and slushy/icy patches. The rest of hwy 6 was ok, but the road to Scofield was fairly icy. however it was nothing a little caution and patience couldn't get you through. Also keep in mind I was driving a Lincoln MKZ, so a truck probably would have been a lot less unnerving. Oh and once we got away from the dam inlet the wind mostly went away and the sun was out.
I don't know when I'll go back again, but I'm certainly not opposed to it. I'm headed to Flaming Gorge this weekend to try and get on some burbot or at least some decent sized rainbows. My schedule this afternoon just got WIDE open, so cruising up to Rockport or Jordanelle has crossed my mind.
