To be honest it wasn't that long of a drive little over 800 miles round trip and well worth it. Took us about the same amount of time maybe even less time than it took to drive to Lake Powell one year.
The largest Perch was weighed at Tackle Toms in Cascade at 1.87lbs and was 14.50". We had quite a few that were over 1lb and pushing 1.5. But the largest was the 1.87 Perchzilla.
Yes we did catch PV size dinks but most of the Perch we caught were thick meaty 11-13" with several at 14" plus.
So God willing come next season we'll be making a couple trips back up that way again. If anyone is interested in making a trip I'd be more than willing to provide information on what we did fishing wise, general area we fished, where we stayed, ate, and basic info on Lake Cascade itself based on our actual trip and also all the research/studying we did. Have to say the research/studying paid off for us. [][]
