You need to try C.J. Strike for the big perch Curt, not that far from Boise. It is a good summer and winter fishery for big perch, crappie and both large and smallmouth bass. I brought 60 perch home in a day and a half fishing the first weekend in Feb. that ran from 11 to 13 inches. I never caught a perch under 10 inches and not many that size. I plan on making a run up toward the end of March with the boat if the bite turns on. I have caught big perch all through the summer there. I use to live just a few miles below the dam and fished C.J. a bunch. Headed to Starvation for a couple days leaving this afternoon. C. J. probably spoiled me but I need to get a line in the water. The lake I really miss is the glory days we had for the jumbos at Yuba back in the late 90's. These two came from Yuba, one weighed 2lbs. and the other was 1 lb. 14 oz..
