Hummingbird or Lowrance
#21
Humminbird is the way to go IMO.

I have two. A 787 on the bow, and a 797 on the Helm. I've networked them both together so I can can share data, waypoints, etc.

If you have an interest in the "New" updated Minnkota I-pilot system you'll need a unit that's compatible with it as well. Some earlier versions of the 898 to my understanding are not. The bigger the screen the better if you have room. This is especially true for if you want to get the most from the side imaging feature. My 797 unit is a bit small, and you loose detail in your scans and can't cover as much of the water from side to side. The bigger units also have higher power out which improves the sensitivity and resolution of your displayed data.

Hope this helps.
